Mark 11:24

“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”

For as long as we can remember, Wesley has prayed for a little brother.  In May 2005, our family decided to seek the Lord's will concerning an addition to our family.  We prayed for guidence and open doors.  Within five weeks, the Lord answered our prayer by allowing us to acquire the $4,500 to begin the process!  Wesley’s wish is finally coming true.  He is going to get a Vietnamese brother.

The Process: First, we started the home study in July, 2005.  The Miriam Project inspected our home and conducted interviews.  Mom and Dad have had fingerprints taken in Marion and Indy.  Everyone has completed physicals.  Next, the Miriam Project wrote a six page report on our family, giving assurance to Vietnam that we are an acceptable family.

Our dossier will next be sent to Vietnam to be authenticated, translated, and accepted.  We will anxiously await a referral photo.  This will only require one trip to Vietnam, however, it will take 2 1/2 weeks.

Psalm 68:5-6

"A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in His holy habitation.  God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity."

Deuteronomy 10:17-18

“He administers justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and clothing.”
